Gabbard Says Harris is ‘Unfit’ to Be Commander-in-Chief

Just prior to the much anticipated second round of Democratic Presidential debates,  Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, has said that she believes that Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., is “not qualified” to be president because she has no background in foreign policy.

Gabbard made the comments during an appearance last week on Fox Sports Radio’s Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis.

“I think one of the things I’m most concerned with is Kamala Harris is not qualified to serve as commander-in-chief, and I can say this from a personal perspective as a soldier,” said Gabbard, who served in Iraq as a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard. “She’s got no background or experience in foreign policy and she lacks the temperament that is necessary for a commander-in-chief.”

Gabbard continued to tell Travis that, “I’ve seen the cost of war firsthand. “I’ve experienced the consequences of what happens when we have presidents, as we have had from both political parties in the White House, who lack experience, who lack that foreign policy understanding, who therefore fall under the influence of the foreign policy establishment, the military-industrial complex. This is what’s so dangerous. This is what we’ve seen occurring over time.”

Harris Campaign Strikes Back

Lily Adams, a spokeswoman for Harris’ campaign, later called Gabbard out on Twitter for her comments. “Definite hard pass on taking national security advice from Assad’s cheerleader,” Adams tweeted, in reference to Gabbard having met with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in 2017 while on a “fact-finding” mission in the country.

Gabbard, who continues to face criticism for that meeting, has defended it as a step to help broker peace.

In the random draw for who appears on what night of the two scheduled Democratic Debates, to air on CNN – Gabbard and Harris are set to face off in the second night. On stage with them Wednesday night will also be current front runner former Vice President Joe Bidden, along with New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and former HUD Secretary Julián Castro, business leader Andrew Yang, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet.

I don’t believe that having served in the military qualifies anyone to be commander-in-chief. The one we have now is a coward (phantom heel spurs, just to get out ofcserving his country) and a traitor who is in such asmiration of our enemy’s style of government (Putin) and fell in love with the most brutal dictator on the planet (Kim Jong Un). I served in the army and I don’t feel particularly qualified to be the CinC.

Kamala Harris is not qualified to be President because she fails the requirements to be a “natural born citizen” of the United States.

The definition of that term is easily found in the internationally published reference book used by the Founders to craft our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.

“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority; they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.” – Law of Nations
